As Team Leader for the school's Global Village event, I represented Asian communities and led a team of six Middle Years and Upper Years students to design and deliver five interactive cultural activities for Lower School students. I took responsibility for the planning, coordination, and smooth delivery of the programme, making sure the activities were engaging, inclusive, and well-structured. The event was well received by the PTA (Parent Teacher Association) and school parents, and the positive feedback reflected the impact of our team's work and my ability to lead a diverse group in creating a meaningful learning experience.
I'm proud to have been nominated by my teammates as Captain of my football club for three seasons in a row — an honour that reflects the trust and respect of the players I train and compete with. Being selected by my peers has given me the chance to grow as a leader both on and off the pitch, setting a strong example through consistent effort, positive communication, and a commitment to team unity and success. Through this role, I've supported and motivated my teammates, helped maintain high morale, and contributed to a culture where everyone feels encouraged to perform at their best — all qualities essential to effective leadership in sport and beyond.
